FIX 1: Switch Slots
In most cases, it’s just the issue of your current active partition being corrupted. So all that you need to do is switch over to the working inactive slot and then make it the active one. Here’s how it could be done
- Download and extract the Android SDK Platform Tools.

- Now boot your device to Fastboot Mode [Power and Volume Up or Down for 10+ seconds].

- Then head over to the platform-tools folder, type in CMD in the address bar, and hit Enter.

adb reboot "dm-verity enforcing"

In case you are unable to boot to the OS, then you could use the Fastboot method. You could force boot your device to Fastboot using the hardware key combinations without enabling UB Debugging. After that, you could flash the firmware via Fastboot Commands, the only prerequisite being your device’s bootloader is unlocked.

How are we supposed to perform method one, if the bootloader is locked? and google devices do not come with unlocked bootloader. Especially Verizon’s. For my Pixel 5a, I already tried to flash sideload, and the flash went perfectly, but the problem remains the same.

Hi Joe, the first method is for those devices that can access the OS. On the other hand, if your device is stuck in a bootloop and cannot boot to the OS, then you should opt for the second method [which involves booting to Fastboot and then flashing the firmware. Yes, you could still boot your device to Fastboot even if the device is in a bootloop or soft-bricked state [check out the flashing guides given above for the instructions].
