In case the device’s bootloader is unlocked, then the process becomes quite easy to carry out. On the other hand, if your device’s bootloader is locked, then then it should have atleast checkmarked one requirement: the OEM Unlock toggle should have been enabled. If that is not the case, then you’ll have to use an unbrick tool [discussed below]. So keeping all these points in mind, let’s get started.

For Unlocked Bootloader

Since the bootloader is already unlocked, you could easily rectify the No Valid Operating System could be found error. For that, boot your device to Fastboot Mode via the Power and Volume key combinations. Then depending on the device that you use, refer to its associated guide below:

For Locked Bootloader with OEM Unlock Enabled

If the bootloader is locked, but you have enabled OEM Unlock beforehand, then count yourself among the lucky ones as you could still fix the No Valid Operating System could be found error relatively easily. For that, you’ll have to unlock the bootloader on your device [this will wipe off all the data and might nullify the warranty as well] and then refer to the below guide [depending on your device] to address the issue at hand.

For Locked Bootloader with OEM Unlock Disabled

if the device’s bootloader is locked and OEM Unlock is disabled as well, then it’s going to be a bumpy ride enough. Apart from OnePlus users, all the other ones might have to shell out some bucks to rectify this issue. This is because the OEMs no longer allow you to flash unbrick firmware, instead they require you to visit their service center and get the job done. But if you own a OnePlus device, you could still rectify the issue without the need to spend a dime.

If you own a OnePlus 1 to OnePlus 9 series device or a few initial variants of Nord, then you could use the MSM Download Tool to flash the OPS firmware and rectify this issue.
