Multiple Siri Commands not working in iOS 17: How to Fix

In this guide, we will show you a couple of methods to fix the issue of multiple Siri commands not working in iOS 17. With the latest OS build, the Cupertino giant has blessed us with a plethora of intriguing goodies. Apart from that, there are a couple of nifty updates to Apple’s virtual assistant that seem to have gone silently under the radar.

In this regard, the first one is the fact that you no longer need to say Hey Siri before every command, simply saying Siri will invoke the assistant as well. Another impressive update that it got blessed with is the fact that you could now issue multiple commands to it at once.

This will definitely save you precious time and effort, especially if you interact with the assistant numerous times throughout the day. With that said, some users have voiced their concern that the multiple Siri commands feature is not working in iOS 17 for them. If you are also in the same boat, then this guide will help you rectify it. Follow along.

Fix Multiple Siri Commands not working in iOS 17

It is recommended that you try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and then see which one spells out success. So with that in mind, let’s get started.

FIX 1: Check Device Compatibility

As strange as it may sound, the iPhone X series does not support Siri’s Multiple Commands feature, even though it has received the iOS 17 update. So if you own any of the following devices: XS, XS Max, and XR, then you’re out of luck.

FIX 2: Avoid Merging Commands

You shouldn’t merge multiple commands into one. Instead, issue the first command, then the second, and so on. For example, this command will not work: “Siri tell the current time and set a reminder for my meeting at 4 PM and while we are up to it don’t forget to Text Mom that I’ll be late in reaching home”. Instead, use the following command: Siri tell the current time. Set a reminder for my meeting at 4 PM. Text Mom that I’ll be late in reaching home will not work.

As you can see, all three requests aren’t combined into one sentence, rather they are three separate. Moreover, you don’t have to say Siri after every command, just say it after the first and then you could issue multiple commands without the need to say her name.

FIX 3: Re-Setup Siri

Some users were able to rectify this issue after setting up Siri from scratch. Here’s how it could be done:

  1. First off, head over to the Settings menu and disable Siri.
  2. Then re-enable it. You’ll now be prompted to go through the voice setup again.
  3. So proceed with the on-screen instructions to get this job done.

That’s it. These were the three different methods that should help you fix the issue of multiple Siri commands not working in iOS 17. If you have any queries concerning the aforementioned steps, do let us know in the comments. We will get back to you with a solution at the earliest.
