iOS 16.5 Developer Beta Update missing for developers!

Many iPhone users have reported that the option to install the iOS 16.5 Developer Beta Update is missing from their devices. For app developers and publishers, the developer preview builds are their best bet to test out upcoming releases and verify their product’s compatibility with the new update. On the other hand, for tech enthusiasts, the beta builds give them a window of opportunity to test out new features before the general rollout.

In this regard, one of the biggest differentiating factors between both these updates is that the beta build is free whereas Developer builds require you to be a part of the Apple Developer Program—which costs $99 per year. However, all these rules gave currently gone out for a toss. Recently we covered how public beta testers were receiving developer preview updates.

Now, there have been reports that the developers who should have got the iOS 16.5 Developer Beta Update are instead receiving the Beta updates. While the beta testers are able to enjoy the developer preview build for free, on the other hand, the developers who have shelled out bucks just for this purpose are instead having to be content with the beta update.
