Many users have reported that YouTube is currently missing 240p & 480p video quality options. When it comes to video streaming services, then there’s no denying the fact that the offering from the Silicon Valley giant is the best in this domain. Likewise, for many content creators, it is their major source of income and with the news that Shorts will be monitored in the coming months, we are likely to witness a subsequent rise in the newcomers.

With that said, the creators are currently having a tough time with this platform. Many of them have voiced their concern that YouTube is missing the 240p & 480p video quality options. While it might not sound much of an issue for everyday users as they would stream the video in 1080p, however, there is still a major chunk of the population for whom 240 and 480p resolution are the most that they could use for streaming purposes.
Moreover, during traveling when there is low network connectivity, these low resolutions are our only saviors. Unfortunately, as of now, there doesn’t exist any workaround that could help you rectify this issue. But there does seem to be some light at the end of the tunnel as YouTube has acknowledged this issue and a fix will be rolling out soon, however they haven’t given out any ETA for the same.
