How to Install Android 13 on OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T

In this guide, we will show you the steps to install Android 13 onto your OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T. And with that, there is a slew of UI changes that you are about to welcome, all thanks to the Aquamorphic Design in combination with the Material You theme.

Therefore, they could be unstable in nature with quite a few underlying bugs as well. Talking about which, here are all the issues that you are likely to come across in these builds.

  • More function icon in the editing interface of the control center is displayed incorrectly.

NOTE: Before installing Android 13 Open Beta 1 on your OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T, make sure that you are on the latest OxygenOS 12 version (C.35). If that is not the case, then update your device to this firmware right away, either from the Settings menu [recommended] or via the Oxygen Updater app.

Install Android 13 on OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T [Indian and European Variants]

  1. To begin with, download the firmware corresponding to your region from the Downloads section above.
  2. Then transfer the downloaded firmware to your device’s internal storage [but not inside any folder].
  3. After that, head over to Settings > About device > Version.
  4. Now tap on Build Number 7 times and enter your password [if asked]. It will enable the Developer Mode.
  5. Then go back to Settings -> About device -> Up to date.

  7. Then navigate to the downloaded Android 13 firmware and select it. Then tap on Extract > Upgrade.
  8. Now, wait for the installation to complete. Once done, tap on Restart. That’s it.
  9. Your OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T will now boot to the newly installed Android 13 OS.

Install Android 13 on OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T [Global/NA Variant]

  1. To begin with, download the firmware corresponding to your region from the Downloads section above.
  2. Then transfer the downloaded firmware to your device’s internal storage [but not inside any folder].
  3. Now download and install the OnePlus Local Update APK for Android 13 from below-
    DOWNLOAD: OnePlus_tools.apk
  4. In some instances, the app might be downloaded as a ZIP [filename.apk.zip].
  5. So rename the file and remove .zip from the end so that it becomes filename.apk.oneplus 8 pro android 13
  6. Now install the app and then launch it. After that, tap on Local Upgrade.
  7. Then navigate to the Android 13 firmware, select it, and tap on Install Now.oneplus 8 pro android 13
  8. Wait for the installation to complete. Once done, tap on Restart. That’s it.
  9. Your OnePlus 8/8 Pro/8T will now boot to the newly installed Android 13 OS.
