OnePlus 11 EU/Global Regions are yet to receive OxygenOS 13.1

As is the case every month, the EU and Global regions are once again late to the party when it comes to receiving timely OS updates. This time around the sufferers are the latest flagships owners aka OnePlus 11 wherein the EU users are yet to even receive the OxygenOS 13.1 update whereas the India and North American users are already two updates ahead.

Rolling back the clock a couple of months before, the EU and Global users received the April update in May whereas the Indian and NA users got blessed with the May update along with the newer OxygenOS 13.1 update. And while the EU users were still stuck on the April update, the Indian and NA users were blessed with the latest June update as well. So at the time of writing, the OnePlus 11 EU and Global region users are two updates behind the Indian and NA users.

The software update getting for a particular region is nothing new and we have seen a few reports of the same from other OEMs as well. However, when it comes to OnePlus, we have seen this level of disparity countless times in the past as well with its older devices too. This has really irked its user base and that is completely understandable as if they too are paying the same price for the device that their counterparts in other regions are, then why they are the ones to always be left behind?

What makes the matter even worse is the way OnePlus handles this situation. They hardly ever address this delay and in the rarest of rare cases, if they do, then it’s just the generic statement that the update is being rolled out in batches! And going by the current situation that the OEM is in, you shouldn’t feel surprised if takes a further few weeks down the line before the OnePlus 11 device in the EU/Global regions ultimately receives the OxygenOS 13.1 update.

Not to mention the fact that while this isn’t the first time that OnePlus is showing this selective level of treatment to its preferred/most revenue-generative regions, this wouldn’t be the last either. There is every chance that both the EU and Global regions would miss the update train again in the subsequent future with no explanation from the company whatsoever. As harsh as it may sound, but you might now have to get used to it. The flagship killer might have finally been killed, it seems!
