How to Adjust Display Color on Pixel 8/Pro: Fix Yellow Warmth

In this guide, we will show you the steps to adjust the display color on your Pixel 8 Pro and fix the yellow warmth issue. After using OnePlus for a couple of years, I decided to make a switch to Pixel solely due to the ever-decreasing support of the former in custom development. While I don’t necessarily need to point out how impressed I am with its overall UI, camera, and AI tweaks, however, there’s just one aspect that kept niggling me- the display.

Don’t get me wrong. the 120Hz LTPO OLED is definitely worthy of praise, but what isn’t is the warm color that it beholds. This gives it a yellowing tint and the overall display turns out to be much less radiant and brighter. The lack of blue color also makes the screen look less radiant. This is my personal take on this matter and I haven’t seen many reports about this either. Maybe I am nitpicking or maybe not, but one thing’s for sure- it’s not in sync with my requirements.

If that is the case with you as well, then let’s together hop onto this journey and adjust the display color on your Pixel 8 Pro by fixing this yellow warmth issue.

  1. To begin with, root your device via Magisk [yes, even we hate to do this, but carrying out such system-level tweaks requires administrative privileges].
  2. Then download and install the Color Changer app from the Play Store.
  3. Now launch it and go to the Custom Settings section.
  4. Then change the RGB value that best suits your needs. For me, they are:
    R: 248
    G: 248
    B: 255
  5. Finally, save the changes and check out the results.

That’s it. These were the steps to adjust the display color on your Pixel 8 Pro and fix the yellow warmth issue. If you have any queries concerning the aforementioned steps, do let us know in the comments. We will get back to you with a solution at the earliest.
