Jio Cinema FIFA World Cup 2022 Lag: How to Fix

In this guide, we will show you a nifty workaround that should help you fix the Jio Cinema FIFA World Cup 2022 lag. As soon as the news broke out that Jio has earned the rights to telecast the world cup, there were quite a few positives that one could have looked forward to. The ability to [finally] watch a football match in 4K and the fact that you do not need to have any additional subscription spelled out a win-win situation for the users. But how wrong were we!

if we were to rank the viewing experience on a scale of 1 to 10, then we would need another scale that comes with negative numbers, because the app doesn’t even deserve a score of 0. Right from day 1 when the inauguration ceremony started to each and every football match being telecast, there is a considerable delay, with matches being stuck in a loading loop after every few seconds.

Up until this point, all the football matches in India were being telecasted on Hotstar, Sony Liv, and Voot, with the former two doing an exceptional job and even the latter performing decently. However, it is really a sad state of affairs that users have to gaze at the buffering screen more than the actual world cup matches in Jio Cinema.

While no one knows whether Jio will be able to upscale their servers in this short time frame, however, one thing is for sure- it has ruined one of the greatest spectacles that the sporting world has to offer. With that said, there does exist a slight glimmer of hope that might help you address this issue and in turn stream FIFA World Cup 2022 in 4K in Jio Cinema without any lag. So without further ado, let’s check it out.

Fix Jio Cinema FIFA World Cup 2022 Lag

Jio Cinema FIFA World Cup 2022 Lag

For the unaware, Jio Cinema provides five different viewing angles- Main Feed, Extended Stadium Feed, Tactical, Cable Cam, and Player A. Out of this, the Main Feed is the default one and is the only one that is bugged with the lag. Rest all the feeds are working well and good without any buffering.

In this regard, Tactical, Cable Cam, and Player A might not give you the best viewing experience but the Extended Stadium Feed is closest to the Main Feed and offers the best viewing experience without any delay. So as of now your best course of action is to switch over from Main Feed to Extended Stadium Feed in the Jio Cinema app. Here’s how it could be done:

  1. Stream any live FIFA World Cup match on your TV
  2. Then hit the OK/Menu button on your remote.
  3. Now select Multicam at the top right and hit OK.
  4. Finally, select Extended Stadium Feed and hit OK.

That’s it. This should help you fix the Jio Cinema FIFA World Cup 2022 lag. I have personally tested it across a few matches and there was not a single second of lag. With the service being bashed left, right, and center, it is quite strange to see that Jio hasn’t made this workaround public. Anyway, we did this job so that you could enjoy an uninterrupted broadcast of the world cup that houses the last matches of some of the greatest players to ever grace this game.
