How to Move From Closed Beta to Open Beta on Nothing Phone 1

In this guide, we will show you the steps to move from Closed Beta to Open Beta on your Nothing Phone 1. Most of the OEMs first test out their updates in a closed group of testers who have voluntarily signed up to be a part of the same. These users then have to test out the earliest and buggiest releases of the OS [and are confined via an NDA as well]. These updates are released even before the Beta releases so you might imagine the instability that it brings in with itself.

So on the one hand you are given a privileged seat of testing out the features before the masses, however, on the other hand, you’ll also have to deal with system instability and bugs at regular intervals, which could result in quite an infuriating usage experience, more so if you have installed the update on your primary device.

So can’t you move from Closed Beta to Open Beta on your Nothing Phone 1? Well, you can do so by flashing the Fastboot ROM on your device. Apart from that, there also exists another nifty method that will help you get this job done. And the best part? It neither requires executing Fastboot Commands nor a PC!  So without further ado, let’s check it out.

While the below process should not wipe the data on your device, still take a backup beforehand just to be on the safer side. Moreover, this process has been successfully tested on downgrading from Spacewar-u2.5-231206-0153-EEA to Stable 2.0.5. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.

  1. To begin with, download and install the NOS Beta Tool app.
  2. Then download the firmware 1, 2, and 3 ZIP files from here.
  3. Now install firmware 1, 2, and 3 via the NOS Beta Tool app.
  4. Make sure to install the firmware in the same order [1,2,3].

That’s it. These were the steps to move from Closed Beta to Open Beta on your Nothing Phone 1. If you have any queries concerning the aforementioned steps, do let us know in the comments. We will get back to you with a solution at the earliest. [Credits: Nothing Discord Server | Via: Redditor Impressive-Excuse126].
