How to Create a Google Weather App Icon on Home Screen

While there exists a plethora of weather apps, however, for many, they don’t even need to install any of those as the one built-in to Google Search does manage to checkmark all the prerequisites with ease.   1. Open the Weather page on your device via At a Glance.
  2. Then tap on your profile picture present at the top right.
  3. Now select Add to Home Screen > Add to Home Screen.google weather app

That’s it. You now have the Google Weather app icon on your home screen. Just tap on it and it will directly take you to the weather page. Another approach of getting this job done is by placing a Weather widget on your home screen. Though this will not be categorized as an app, but still, it will help you get this job done. Here’s how:

  1. Long press on an empty region on the home screen.
  2. Then select Widgets. Now expand the Google section.
  3. Then long-press on one of the two available weather widgets.google weather app

  5. You could also change its size by long pressing it and then dragging its edges.
