In this regard, users have reported that liquid courage, nuclear key cards, atom shop skins, and Buffoon masks were all accidentally sold from their stash at 1 cap each. So all this begs for an important question- how to fix the Vendor Stash bug in Fallout 76? Well, let’s check it out.

How to Fix Fallout 76 Vendor Stash Bug

Do note that there’s no universal fix as such. You will have to try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and see which one works best in your favor. So with that in mind, let’s get started [Credits: Redditor IceFireDH].

  • First off, make sure sure that your vendors are not near your stash box. They should be at least 2 squares away.
  • Next up, make sure that your vendors are not near the workbenches. As before they should be at least 2 squares away.
  • Likewise, fill your vendors, all 120 slots, and try to keep them full.
  • Also, make sure that the spawn point for fast travelers is far away from your vendors. You can change this spot by moving your CAMP appliance.
  • You should also add 24x of a single item (i.e. lock picks) to your vendor for 40,000 each. [Why 24? Because a public server has a max of 24 players only].

So keep these points in mind and this should go a great length in fixing the Vendor Stash bug in Fallout 76. What is the official stance on this matter? Well, it has been two years since this bug first came to light, and countless patches later, it is yet to be rectified. So don’t keep your hopes high that this issue will be fixed anytime in the near future. All in all, the aforementioned workarounds are your best bet.
