5GHz Hotspot not working on Pixel 7/Pro: How to Fix

In this guide, we will show you the steps to fix the issue of the 5Ghz hotspot not working on your Pixel 7 Pro. 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are two WiFi bands used by numerous smartphones, including the latest Google flagships. The former band has a tad more noise, is also congested [due to the fact that other devices in your home might still be using this band], and most importantly offers a slower speed in comparison with 5Ghz which has less noise and a faster network speed.

The only benefit of 2.4 GHz over 5 is its long-range coverage, though for home usage, that might not be a cause of much concern. Moreover, most Pixel 7/Pro users already have a 5G SIM, so creating a 5Ghz hotspot and sharing the device’s internet is usually the preferred choice for them. However, that is proving to be easier said than done for some users. If you are also in the same boat, then this guide will help you out. Follow along.
