In this guide, we will show you the steps to PIN unlock your Pixel device without pressing the Enter key. The devices from the Silicon Valley giant behold a clean stock OS experience, maintaining an equilibrium between the features and the overall device stability. However, after coming from OnePlus’ ColorOS/OxygenOS, there was just one feature that I found missing in this AOSP environment- the fact that we gave to hit the enter key after typing in the correct PIN.
In OnePlus [and many other phones], the device will automatically unlock as soon as you input the correct PIN/Password. However, that isn’t the case with Pixel as you will then have to hit the checkmark after typing in the correct password. While many users don’t even use PIN/Password nowadays, however, with Pixel, we more often than not have to rely on this due to the inconsistency with the fingerprint. So this brings us to the all-important question- how to PIN unlock your Pixel device without pressing the Enter key. Let’s check it out.
How to PIN Unlock Pixel Device without pressing Enter
There is no built-in feature to get this job done, so we will be using an AOSP mod, which requires administrative-level permission aka root. If you haven’t done so, then please refer to our guide on How to Root Pixel 7/Pro via Magisk Patched Init_Boot. Once done, you may then start off with the below instructions:
- Launch the Magisk app and tap on the settings icon situated at the top right.
- Then enable the toggle next to Zygisk and restart your device.
- Now download the LSposed Module (Zygisk Version) and transfer it to your device.
- Then launch Magisk, go to the Modules section, and tap on Install from Storage.
- Now navigate to the LSposed Module and select it. It will now be flashed. Once done, hit Reboot.
- Then download the AOSP Mod and flash it onto your device via Magisk. Once done, hit Reboot.
- Now select the AOSP Mod and it will be flashed. Once done, hit the Reboot button.
- Once it boots up, go to the Lock Screen page and enable the toggle next to Easy Unlock.
