Really appreciate the update on this and feels better to know I am not the only one, however, the problem of Google apps mal-functioning kinda extends to the Backup option too. I am not unable to back up my phone to Google and I am afraid of losing all my data if I went for a factory reset prior to a backup. Any suggestions for a go-around?
