How to Change AOD Clock Style on Pixel: A Step-by-Step Guide

In this guide, we will show you the steps to change the AOD clock style on your Pixel device. There’s this general consensus doing the rounds that the Pixel OS doesn’t behold a slew of customization options. Truth be told, it’s correct up to an extent, if we compare it with the likes of Xiaomis and Samsungs of this world. However, over the past couple of years, the Silicon Valley giant has taken some big strides forward in making its UI skin more customizable by incorporating some nifty UI tweaks.

There’s no better way of cementing this statement than by having a look at the Material You theming design which made its presence felt alongside Android 12. This when combined with themed icons and tons of lock screen and home screen clocks spells a perfect ecosystem. But what about Always on Display? How could you change the AOD clock style on your Pixel device? Let’s find out.

There is no standalone option that would allow you to customize the AOD clock style on your Pixel device. Instead, it is linked with the lock screen clock style itself. So whatever clock style you choose for your lock screen, it will automatically be implemented on your Always on Display as well. You don’t have any granular control to separate both these options [all thanks to Google!]. So with that in mind, here’s how to get this job done:

  1. Head over to Settings > Wallpaper and Style and go to the Lock Screen tab.
  2. You could also long press on an empty region on the home screen and select Wallpaper and Style.
  3. Now perform a right/left swipe to select the desired lock screen clock style.Change AOD Clock Style on Pixel
