Enable Pixel’s Now Playing on any Android Device [Without Root]

In this guide, we will show you the steps to enable Pixel’s Now Playing feature on your non-rooted Android device. The devices from the Silicon Valley giants behold quite a few exclusive features under the hood. These include the likes of tons of camera modules, live translation, Adaptive Sound, Adaptive Connectivity, and the ever-so-popular Now Playing.

As far as the latter is concerned, it displays the artist and the name of the song currently being played on your lock screen. Likewise, it also keeps a track of all these songs in its history section so you should get a hold of it as and when required. This functionality has been present since Pixel 2 and has always been one of the most requested features in the custom development.

Owing to this, many developers have developed Xposed Framework and Magisk Module for the same, but as you might have guessed, it requires root. However, XD Recognized Developer Quinny899 has now created a port for the Pixel’s Now Playing feature that you could install and use on a non-rooted Android device as well. Let’s check out how this could be carried out.
