However, on the software front, it does tend to hit a few roadblocks every now and then. For instance, as of now, numerous users have voiced their concern that they are unable to sync their Pixel Watch 2 Calendar with their phone. Moreover, let alone the third-party calendar apps, even the stock is currently bugged by this issue. Making matters worse is the fact that it was first reported in October last year and is yet to be addressed. With that said, there do exist a couple of handy workarounds that might help you resolve this bug. So without further ado, let’s check them out.

It is recommended that you try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and then see which one spells out success. So with that in mind, let’s get started.

FIX 1: Google Account vs Non-Google

If you are signed into the calendar via a non-Google account, then there are high chance that the sync will not work. This is because Google has explicitly mentioned on its support page that it does not support “features like Work Profile and non-Google accounts.” So if you are using a non-Google account, then unfortunately you’re out of luck and none of the below-listed tweaks might work, though you should still give it a try as there’s nothing to lose at this point in time.

FIX 2: Update Calendar from Watch

Instead of updating the calendar app via the Play Store on your device, you should do so via your watch. So head over to the Play Store app on the watch, then scroll to the Manage Apps section, and verify if there is a pending Calendar update. If there is one, then download and install it right away and check if it fixes the Calendar sync issue between your Pixel Watch 2 and your phone.

FIX 3: Toggle Calendar

Next up, consider unchecking and rechecking the calendar [including events] on your watch and check if it works out in your favor.

FIX 4: Use a Third-Party App

Many users have reported that the Business Calendar 2 Planner app isn’t bugged with the sync issue and they could easily sync all the events with their device. So do give it a try and check out the results.

FIX 5: Reset Watch

If none of the aforementioned methods spelled out success, then your last course of action should be to reset the watch back to its factory default state and then retry the sync process [take a backup beforehand]. Here’s how it could be done:

  1. First off, press the Crown button to open the app’s screen.
  2. Then head over to Settings > System > Disconnect & Reset.
  3. Now tap on the checkmark icon to confirm the reset process.
  4. Once done, re-set up your watch and check out the results.

That’s it. These are the various methods that should help you fix the issue of being unable to sync the Pixel Watch 2 Calendar with your phone. As far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are aware of this issue, but they haven’t given out any ETA for the rollout of a fix. As and when that happens, we will update this guide accordingly. In the meantime, the aforementioned workarounds are your best bet.
