How to Change Default NFC Payment App in Pixel

  1. Head over to Settings > Connected Devices > Connection Preferences.
  2. Then select NFC from the list and go to the Contactless Payment section.

Apart from that, you could also keep the device payment app as it is and instead instruct the device to give preference to a non-default payment app when the latter is opened. For example, let’s say you have Google Pay and Paytm, out of which Google pay is your default payment app. So you could leave it your default app and tell your device to switch to Paytm while making a payment when the Paytm app is opened. Here’s how it could be done:

  1. Head over to Settings > Connected Devices > Connection Preferences.
  2. Then select NFC from the list and go to the Contactless Payment section.
