While we are witnessing the addition of new players in the foldable domain at a decent place, however, the type of anticipation Google managed to achieve is literally unparalleled. And why not, when you are getting a clean stock OS with tons of Pixel goodies and a ‘more than decent’ camera, then the hype seems to be justified. This is why many tech enthusiasts jumped onto the Pixel bandwagon right on day 1 and ordered the device right away.
However, the journey ever since has been nothing sort of nightmarish. A slew of complaints has lined up across numerous forums wherein users have voiced their concern that their Pixel fold orders are getting concerned for no apparent reason whatsoever. On the other hand, some are being greeted with the ‘issue with payment method’ or “Payment method couldn’t be verified” error while trying to order a Pixel Fold.

The icing on the cake is the fact that some users’ cards were even charged and in spite of that, they were greeted with the aforementioned payment error. As of now, they have to be in constant touch with both Google as well as their bank to sort out this issue at the earliest. On the other hand, a few lucky souls who did manage to order the device have been constantly notified every other day that their order is being delayed.
Well, even Verizon support is now saying that the order will be shipped by the 18th of July. All in all, it’s fair to assume that the entire Pixel Fold experience right from ordering to getting it delivered has been quite infuriating, which has literally damped the spirits of many enthusiasts who were planning to get their hands on this new form factor at the earliest [just check out the journey of this user].
