Pixel 8 Pro Touch Screen issues when wireless charging

The newest addition to the Pixel family beholds a slew of intriguing features, with the likes of new Tensor G3 chipset, improved cameras, and a whopping 7 years of OS upgrades being the talk of the town [let’s just hope Google keeps its promise on the latter one]. If we switch our attention towards the battery domain, then its 5050 mAh powerhouse could be charged via 30W wired and 23W wireless.

As far as wireless charging goes, it’s always recommended to opt for the official ones. In this regard, the Pixel Stand Gen 1 or 2 could be your best bet. However, as of late, this statement only seems to be true on paper and its practical usage seems to be a far-fetched reality, owing to the issues that it gets bugged with at regular intervals. The latest one to make its way is touch screen issues while wireless charging the Pixel 8 Pro via Pixel Stand Gen 1 and 2.

This issue is mostly affecting the ones who are using Google’s official wireless charging stand instead of third-party ones, thereby making the matter even weirder. Owing to such situations, users might be left with no choice but to ditch the official charger and opt for a third-party one. So this then brings us to the most important question: is there any rectification measures that one could opt for? Let’s find out.

Is there a Fix?

Unfortunately, as of now, there doesn’t exist any workaround that might help you resolve this bug. Moreover, since this issue has only been reported by a tiny minority, it could be the case that the OEM might not even be aware of the Pixel 8 Pro Touch Screen issues when wireless charging via Pixel Stand.

Therefore, it is recommended that you file a bug report and make Google aware of this issue at the earliest.  As soon as there is any official development surrounding the same, we will update this post accordingly. So stay tuned.
