To rectify this issue, you just need to delete the app’s data! Do note that this will give you a temporary respite from the problem, and the issue might reappear after a few hours. However, when that happens, you can once again delete the app’s data and continue using the app in its full glory. So, on that note, here’s how to implement this fix:

  1. Head over to Settings > Apps > YouTube.
  2. Now go to its Storage and Cache section.
  3. Then tap on Delete Data > Delete in the prompt.delete data youtube
  4. Now, launch YouTube and sign in to your account.
  5. You’ll no longer get the ‘out of date’ error message.
