And quite frankly there is no escaping this statement.<\/p>\n<p>There is always a chance of some issues arising out of rooting your device, flashing a mod, etc, especially if you are new to this. So it is always recommended to have a Nandroid Backup of your Android device- right after installing a Custom Recovery like TWRP. Never do the mistake of flashing a custom ROM, rooting your device via Magisk or modifying the boot images and then creating a Nandroid backup. Without a second thought, go for TWRP Recovery. Download the official version from the <a href=\"https:\/\/twrp.me\/Devices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">TWRP website<\/a>. If no official version exists, download an unofficial one- but only from XDA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Setting_up_the_Custom_Recovery\"><\/span>Setting up the Custom Recovery<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before starting the guide on how to <strong>create and restore a Nandroid Backup via TWRP<\/strong>, you need to install a custom recovery like TWRP. I have already created a <a href=\"https:\/\/droidwin.com\/install-twrp-recovery-android\/\">detailed step-by-step guide <\/a>for downloading and installing the said recovery. However, if you have a little bit of knowledge on all these, then you may instead refer to the &#8220;short guide&#8221; below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To begin with, download and extract the <a href=\"https:\/\/droidwin.com\/download-latest-android-sdk-platform-tools-windows-mac-linux\/\">ADB and Fastboot Platform Tools<\/a> on your PC.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-61858\" src=\"https:\/\/droidwin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/platform-tool-retain-twrp-custom-rom.jpg\" alt=\"retain twrp custom rom\" width=\"760\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/droidwin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/platform-tool-retain-twrp-custom-rom.jpg 760w, https:\/\/droidwin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/platform-tool-retain-twrp-custom-rom-300x166.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Then download the TWRP Recovery, rename it twrp, and place it inside the platform-tools folder.<\/li>\n<li>Then go to Settings &gt; About Phone &gt; Tap on Build Number 7 times. This will enable Developer Options.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Settings &gt; System &gt; Developer Options and enable USB Debugging. Either Google for the hardware key combination, or use the universal method below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect your device to PC.
