This is where stock firmwares (some refer to it as ‘Stock ROM’) comes into the picture. Just flash the firmware and your device would be back to stock again- as it was out of the box. Another point worth mentioning is the fact that different OEMs may have different methods for flashing these stock firmwares. For example in the case of Xiaomi, one has to use a MiFlash Tool for the flashing procedure to be carried out. Whereas in the case of OnePlus devices, you may simply go to the stock recovery of your device and flash the firmware from there.
Among the various prerequisites, one which is most obvious yet important is to have an unlocked bootloader. Obvious because most of you might be using a custom ROM or a modified version of the stock ROM- which isn’t possible unless your device is unlocked. Important because you can’t install the firmware on a locked device. Therefore before beginning with the process make sure to unlock the bootloader of your device.
