You will need a File Manager App. The pre-installed File Manager on your device will work as well. I will be using the ES File Explorer for this guide. The method is the same no matter which file browser you use.

  1. Open the File Manager and enable “Show Hidden Files”. It could either be found under Options or Settings.
  2. Next, go to Internal Storage and select the WhatsApp folder.
  3. Now, tap on the Media folder.

  4. Next, select the “.Statuses” folder. Open it and you will find all the current status there.
  5. That’s it. Now just copy the desired photos and videos and paste it wherever you want.
