Rooting Poll: Is it Worth the Risk? You Decide and let us Know

If you have ever wandered across the tech community, you might have heard the term ‘rooting’. Without incorporating any technical jargons, rooting means to gain access to your device’s system files. This way you could gain administrative privileges and make system-level tweaks. This straight away spells out your ability to bring in a plenitude of new features to your device that was earlier bereft. But this is just one side of the coin.

Rooting comes with a few associated risks as well. Some of the most noteworthy ones include the data loss, making the warranty null and void (some manufacturers do this), and in some cases, it might make your device non-operable up to an extent. But since Android is an open-source eco-system, there always exists a handy workaround to repair your device and get it back to normal working condition, if you have dug deep into this Google-owned OS and know the technical know-how.

Anyways, I have always been a fan of rooting. Infact, this is usually the first thing I end up doing whenever I get my hands on a new device. But this is just one perspective- the perspective of an Android Fanboy. I would like to know what the general public has to say about this. Is rooting and gaining extra goodies worth an attempt? Or the risk factor is way too much to deal with. Please cast your vote below and let us know what are your opinions on this subject.

Thanks for spending your precious time and letting us know your opinions. Once you have voted, you could see the overall result (up to that point) simply by clicking on the View Results button.
