Here are the steps to remove Google Discover on your OnePlus device while preserving the stock OnePlus launcher and the Google app [so that you can still use some of its nifty features like Google Lens].
- First off, root your device via Magisk/KernelSU/APatch.
- Then download, install, and set up LSPosed Framework.
- Now download and install Hide My AppList from Github.
- Then launch LSPosed, go to Modules, and enable Hide My AppList.
- Now restart your device for the HMA module to be activated.
- Then launch HMA, create a new blacklist, and name it Apply2Launcher.
- Add ‘Google’ app to hidden apps (‘com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox’)
- Then create another blacklist and name it “Apply2Google”.
- Add Oneplus ‘System Launcher’ to hidden apps (‘com.android.launcher’)
- Now enable flight mode. Then open HMA and open the App Manage function.
- Apply the first blacklist (which is named”Apply2Launcher” for the System Launcher).
