Remove Deleted Apps from Background Login Items in Ventura

In this guide, we will show you the steps to remove the deleted apps from the Background Login items section in Ventura. There might be a few apps installed on your PC that needs to constantly run in the background even if it isn’t open in the foreground. They tend to silently carry out their tasks in the backend such as data sync or checking or software update and start their process as soon as you log in to your Mac.

In this regard, the OS gives you the option to modify this setting and add/remove items from booting at the startup. However, some users have voiced their concern that the Background Login items section in Ventura is even displaying those apps that aren’t even installed on their PC. They had removed those apps back in Monterey itself but strangely, it is still being displayed in Ventura. If you are also stuck in a similar situation, then this guide shall help you out. • Hi,
I tried this but I still have things in the list that are NOT in these folders!

    CleanMyMac X, 2 items
Luxoft Professional Ooo, 1 item, affects all users

I installed CleanMyMac X and removed it using their uninstaller but this was still left and I can’t find it. The Luxoft item, I have no idea where that came from and I can’t find it!

  • I don’t have the LaunchAgents in my ~/Library folder. This is Version 13.0.1 of Ventura.
