How to Remove Duplicate Drives in File Explorer on Windows 11

In this guide, we will show you the steps to remove duplicate drives from the navigation pane of File Explorer in Windows 11. When you plug in any device removable drive on your PC, then it will end up showing under the This PC section as well as a separate entity beneath it.

As a result of this, you’ll now have two instances of the same removable drive on the left-hand side of the Explorer window. So in this guide, we will show you how to prevent that from happening. Follow along for the instructions.

  1. Create a new text file and paste the below commands:

  2. Then go to File > Save As > change Save As Type to All Files.
