How to Remove Alarm icon from Lock Screen when there’s no alarm

In this guide, we will show you the steps to remove the alarm icon from your lock screen when you haven’t set any alarm in the first place! Well, the title might sound a tad confusing at first, and that is completely understandable. Even when a user raised this query in one of my post’s comment sections, I had to reverify with him that I had understood his query correctly.

Once I understood the concern, I then recommended a few troubleshooting steps, including force-stopping the clock and deleting its cache and data. But unfortunately, it didn’t spell out success for him. So I then asked him for the list of apps that are currently running [background or foreground], and upon going through the same, we finally manage to rectify the issue. So without further ado, let’s raise the curtains from that fix right away!

The culprit in the majority of cases is Tasker’s Use Reliable Alarms feature. Apart from that, Google Assistant’s Upcoming Reminder alerts have also proven to be a plausible cause behind this issue. So let’s address both these issues which in turn should rectify the underlying issue as well.

Disable Tasker’s Use Reliable Alarms

  1. Launch Tasker and go to Preferences > Monitor.
  2. Then set the Use Reliable Alarms feature to Never.
  3. Now restart your device and the issue stands rectified.

Disable Google Assistant’s Upcoming Reminder

  1. Launch the Google App, tap on your avatar, and select Settings.
  2. Then select Google Assistant from the list and go to At a Glance.Remove Alarm icon from Lock Screen
  3. Finally, scroll to Upcoming and disable the toggle next to it.
  4. Once done, restart your device and the issue stands rectified.

That’s it. These were the steps to remove the alarm icon from your lock screen when you haven’t set any alarm.
