In this guide, we will show you a nifty method using which you can pass the Play Integrity test in the Evolution X ROM. The custom development has undergone some massive changes in recent years. Among them, it’s the depreciated SafetyNet and the newly introduced Play Integrity that are giving quite a tough time even to the tech enthusiast, let alone the general users. So much so that users are now thinking twice before even stepping into this domain.
Fortunately, the developers are doing some great under-the-hood tweaks to make our job easier. To be more specific, you can now at least pass the Basic and Device tests [and even Strong if you have an unrevoked keybox XML file] which in turn will allow you to easily use the desired banking and payment apps, not only in custom ROMs but even in a rooted environment. In this regard, the Evolution X team has taken a major stride forward.
It has introduced a built-in mechanism that will allow you to easily pass this test directly from the Settings menu, all that is needed is to install an APK file. Moreover, even though there’s every chance of this fingerprint being banned by Google in the near future, the devs have taken care of this as well. They will automatically provide you with an updated APK and you’ll pass the test again! So with that in mind, let’s get started with the steps to pass the Play Integrity test in the Evolution X ROM.
Why Use the APK Instead of the PIF Module?
Some of you might ask this question as to why one should use this APK when the Play Integrity Fix module is already doing this job. Well, the answer is quire simple- the PIF module requires a rooted device [as you can only flash it via the Magisk app] whereas the PIF APK does not require your device to be rooted. Hence you will be saved from all the caveats associated with root.
How to Pass Play Integrity in Evolution X ROM [APK File]
Before starting, take a backup of all the data on your device, just to be on the safer side. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps. Do note that using this APK you’ll only pass the Basic and Device Integrity [which should be sufficient for most banking and payment apps]. - Go to Settings > Evolver > Miscellaneous > Component Spoofing.
- Then enable the toggle next to Play Integrity Fix.
- Now download and install the Play Integrity APK file for the Evolution X ROM.
NOTE: This APK is independent of the device and the ROM version.
- Then restart your device. Now delete the data of the Google Play Store.
- Then download and install the Play Integrity API Checker app.
- Launch it and you should now pass the Basic and Device Integrity Checks.
