In this guide, we will show you the steps to download and install the Pixel Studio on your Android device. The Silicon Valley giant has never been a great hider when it comes to preventing its device from being leaked months before its official release. And this time around, it even surprised everyone by preponing its release event as well. At the event, we were greeted with the ninth iteration of Pixel devices including the second-generation Fold [which for some reason has been named Pixel 9 Pro Fold].
However, nowadays, no event is complete without talking about AI. And this one was no different either. Google has introduced a slew of new and intriguing artificial intelligence features for its latest devices, some of which will trickle down to the older Pixels at a later point in time. With that said, let’s have a look at some of the noteworthy features that the tech giant has incorporated into its Pixel 9 series, after which, we will be listing out the steps to welcome abode one of those features onto your device. Follow along.

New AI Features in Pixel 9 Series
Talking about a new Pixel launch in 2024 without mentioning AI in that sentence might just not be a possibility [and no, we aren’t doing any exaggerations]. So what’s new this time around? Let’s find out.
- Pixel Call Notes: It will give you a full transcript of your call right after you end the call. There is no need to keep running around the house finding a pen and paper to jot down the important points from your recently concluded call.
- Screenshot: A new app housing all your screenshots, it allows you to search, organize, and save the extracted information from your screenshot [still wondering who will use this feature, when Google Photos is already capable of searching within the images].
- New Weather App: There’s a new weather app in town with a completely redesigned UI/UX along with a new weather widget as well. Gemini has also been integrated into it, which will give you the weather report for the day.
- Pixel Studio: This app will allow you to create an image using the text prompt that you provide. The only app that will help you in letting your imagination run wild! At the time of writing, it is only advisable on the latest Pixel 9 series, however, in this guide, we will show you how to make it up and running on older Pixels as well as non-Pixel devices.
- Screenshot: A new app housing all your screenshots, it allows you to search, organize, and save the extracted information from your screenshot [still wondering who will use this feature, when Google Photos is already capable of searching within the images].
- Gemini Live: This feature allows you to have live free-flow conversations with Google’s AI and is only available to Gemini Advanced subscribers, which includes the Pixel 9 series users. It also works in the background and even when the screen is locked [though using a nifty workaround you can try it out on a non-Pixel or older Pixel device as well].
- Camera Features: The one domain that everyone was eagerly waiting and it didn’t disappoint a tad bit. There have been numerous new AI features added to the camera app, with my personal favorite being Add Me which will, in simpler terms, allow the person taking the photo to be added to that photograph as well! So there’s no need to ask a stranger to take a photo anymore! Apart from that, there are many under-the-hood enhancements to existing camera features [like Magic Eraser] as well.
How to Install Pixel Studio on any Android Device
Before starting, please take a backup of all the data on your device. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.
METHOD 1: Via LSPosed Framework
The module that we will be using here [thanks to KieronQuinn] will force the device check to pass and also disable a flag which would fix the “Something went wrong” error.
- To begin with, download and install the Pixel Studio app.
- After that, root your device via Magisk/KernelSU/APatch.
- Now install and set up LSPosed Framework on your device.
- Next up, download and install the PixelStudioEnabler app.
- Open LSPosed > go to Modules > enable PixelStudioEnabler.
- Now restart your device and then launch the Pixel Studio app.
- Sign in using your Google account It will start downloading the AI model.
- Once done, you might now get an error message, simply Force Stop the app once.
- Then relaunch it and you will then be able to use it without any issues whatsoever.
METHOD 2: Via GMS Flag
Once there are more updates to the Pixel Studio app, the flag disabling method [the above module] will stop working. Fortunately, by then, we will have the app available in GMS flags, using which we can enable this feature as explained below:
- First off, download and install the Pixel Studio app on your device.
- Once done, download and install the GMS Flags app from GitHub.
- Now tap on Root Required. You’ll get a SuperUser request, tap Grant.
- Then proceed with the on-screen instructions to set up the app.
- Now select the Pixel Studio app and search for the following flag:
pixel_creativeassistant.device
- Finally, disable the below flag and then restart your device once.

That’s it. These are the two different methods through which you can download, install, and use the Pixel Studio app on your Android device. Since the feature is only available for the Pixel 9 series and we are using workarounds to enable it on non-Pixel or older Pixel devices, the mileage of this tweak might vary.
So if they don’t work on your device, retry the process and you might spell success the second or third time around. With that said, if you have any queries concerning the aforementioned steps, do let us know in the comments. We will get back to you with a solution as soon as possible.
