STEP 1: Install Android SDK
First and foremost, you will have to install the Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC. This is the official ADB and Fastboot binary provided by Google and is the only recommended one. So download it and then extract it to any convenient location on your PC. Doing so will give you the platform-tools folder, which will be used throughout this guide to flash the Kirisakura custom kernel onto your Pixel 7/Pro.
STEP 2: Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking
Next up, you will have to enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on your device. The former will make your device recognizable by the PC in ADB mode. This will then allow you to boot your device to Fastboot Mode. On the other hand, OEM Unlocking is required to carry out the bootloader unlocking process.
So head over to Settings > About Phone > Tap on Build Number 7 times > Go back to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking.
STEP 3: Unlock Bootloader on the Pixel 7/Pro

STEP 4: Extract Stock Partition Files
- To begin with, grab hold of your device’s stock firmware [factory image] from below:

- Once downloaded, extract it and then extract the image.zip file within it.
- Now transfer the boot, vendor_kernel_boot, dtbo, and vendor_dlkm.img to the platform-tools on your PC.
STEP 5: Boot to Fastboot Mode
- To begin with, connect your device to the PC via a USB cable. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled.
- Then head over to the platform-tools folder, type in CMD in the address bar, and hit Enter. This will launch the Command Prompt.
- Now type in the following command in the CMD window to boot your device to Fastboot Mode
adb reboot bootloader
STEP 6: Flash boot, dtbo, vendor_kernel_boot
Execute the below three commands to flash the boot, dtbo, and vendor_kernel_boot files respectively:
fastboot flash boot boot.img fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img fastboot flash vendor_kernel_boot vendor_kernel_boot.img
STEP 7: Flash vendor_dlkm in FastbootD
- Use the below command to boot your device to FasbootD Mode
fastboot reboot fastboot
- Now execute the following command to flash vendor_dlkm
fastboot flash vendor_dlkm vendor_dlkm.img
- Finally, reboot your device to the OS via the below command:
fastboot reboot
