Whereas you flash the recovery in the recovery [duh!] or the boot partition on near about every Android device, in the case of the 2A, you have to do so in the vendor_boot partition [similar to Pixel]. So without any further ado, let’s show you how this can be carried out.
How to Flash TWRP Recovery on Nothing Phone 2A
Before starting, please back up all the data on your device. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.
- To begin with, download and extract Android SDK Platform Tool.
- Then enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on your device.
- Now connect your device to PC via USB and unlock its bootloader.
- Then download the recovery file from below [Credit: arteryring1].
DOWNLOAD: TWRP RECOVERY
- Transfer it to platform-tools and rename it to vendor_boot.img.
- Now open Command Prompt inside the platform-tools and type:
adb reboot bootloader
- Then type in the below command in the CMD to flash the recovery
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
- Now reboot to the newly flashed recovery via the below command:
fastboot reboot recovery
- You may now use the recovery. Once done, select Reboot > System.
