How to Fix Null/0/Missing IMEI Numbers on Pixel Devices

In this guide, we will show you the steps to fix the Null/0/missing IMEI Numbers on your Pixel device. Stepping into custom development always brings in quite a few risks with itself, with the device undergoing softbrick or bootloop being the common phenomenon. While most of these issues can easily be rectified by flashing the factory image in the Fastboot Mode, there’s one issue in particular that can prove to be quite a concerning one.

As you might have guessed, yes, we are talking about the International Mobile Equipment Identity numbers. Once it gets erased, you might no longer be able to find a lost or stolen phone [including remotely locating, locking, or wiping your phone], prevent unauthorized access to your device, or even sell your device to someone else.

Therefore, it is highly recommended that you should always back up the EFS partition of your device right before stepping into this unchartered territory [for the unaware, the EFS Partition houses your IMEI number]. But still, most of the users don’t do so and in the end, are left with a null/missing/0 IMEI number. If you are also in the same boat and own a Pixel device, then you might be in for luck as this guide will make you aware of a nifty workaround that should help you bring back your IMEI. So without further ado, let’s get started.

How to Fix Null/0/Missing IMEI Numbers on Pixel Devices

Null 0 Missing IMEI Numbers Pixel

The steps given here are applicable for all Pixel devices that have the Shannon-based modem from Samsung, which means every Pixel device from 6 to the latest 9 series [including the Fold]. However, this tweak will only work if the devinfo partition gets corrupted, if the issue is with the EFS partition, then this guide might not be of much help to use [still you may give it a try, maybe the stars are aligned in your favor for the day, who knows!].

So with that in mind, please take a backup of all the data on your device, and let’s get started. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps. STEP 1: Find IMEI 1 and 2

To get this job done, you will need to get hold of your IMEI 1 and 2. It’s obvious that you cannot do the same via the *#06# command, so let’s have a look at some of the other alternatives that we have at our disposal:

  1. You can check out the back of your phone’s box
  2. Have a look at the billing receipt for your phone.
  3. Find IMEI 1 from the SIM Card tray and then calculate IMEI 2 using it. For that, remove the last digit from IMEI 1 and increase it by 1. Then type the number you get to this site to get the last digit.
    1. For example, the sim tray reads 111111111111119.
    2. You remove the last digit you get 11111111111111.
    3. Then you increase it by one you get 11111111111112.
    4. Then from the link above you get 111111111111127.

Now that you have got both the IMEI 1 and 2, let’s get started with the process to fix the Null/0/missing IMEI Numbers on your Pixel device.

  7. Then launch the start.bat file and type in the IMEI Numbers 1 and 2 when asked.Null 0 Missing IMEI Numbers Pixel
