In this guide, we will show you the steps to enable Apple Intelligence on your iPhone/Mac in an unsupported region/country. In the recently concluded WWDC event, the Cupertino giant launched a slew of new OS for its devices. These included iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 for iPhone and iPad, macOS Sequoia for its Mac, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 for its Vision Pro headsets. Apart from that, Apple also launched its own AI, which it likes to call Apple Intelligence instead of Artificial Intelligence [because it is Apple after all!].

What is Apple Intelligence?
Beginning with the eighteenth iteration of the OS for iPhones and iPads and the fifteenth iteration for macOS, you’ll get the AI integrated into the OS itself. This, when coupled with Siri, will open the floodgates to a plethora of possibilities. Let’s have. a look at some of the noteworthy ones:
Features of Apple Intelligence
- First off, we have the Writing Tool that will summarize a long message, help you get a shorter version of a long group thread, proofread your text, and provide different versions of your texts. And the best part? It is integrated into third-party apps as well!
- Then you have the Priority Notifications which will bring up important notifications right at the top. Along with that, it will also summarize long notifications so that you can get hold of what they are trying to convey just by having a glance at them. Likewise, it can even summarize lengthy emails in the Mail app. If you usually capture audio recordings and transcripts in the Notes and Phone app, then it will also summarize that for you.
- Another pretty useful feature is Smart Reply which will automatically bring up pre-generated responses. You just need to tap on the response that you want to send in the Email and it will be sent right away.
- Likewise, features like Genmoji and Image Playground add a new fun touch to the AI element. The latter will create an image for you based on the text prompt that you provide it with. It also offers tons of animation, illustration, and sketch to further customize the Genmoi as per your liking.
- Then for novice artists like me, the Magic Wand will convert your rough sketches into a complementary visual-related image.
- Last but not least, the Removal Tool in the Photos app allows you to remove distractions from an image simply by circling around it.
How to Enable Apple Intelligence in Unsupported Region/Country
With such a slew of intriguing features lined up, it is anything but obvious why users are looking to get their hands on this AI offering from Apple. However, it is currently proving to be easier said than done for many. This is because at the time of writing this feature is only available to users residing in the US. However, we did manage to find a nifty workaround using which you can enable Apple Intelligence outside of US, aka in any unsupported county as well. So without further ado, let’s show you how this could be carried out:
On iPhone
- To begin with, head over to Settings > Siri and Search.
- Then go to Language and set it to English (United States).
- Again tap on Change Language in the prompt that appears.
- If needed, train Siri in this ‘new language’ as well [optional].
- After that, go to Settings > General > Language and Region.
- Now go to Region > Select United States as your new region.
- Restart your device and check if the AI features are live or not.
- If they aren’t, then install a VPN from the App Store and launch it.
- Finally, set the region to USA and now check out the results.

- Then go to Language and set it to English (United States).

- After that, go to Settings > General > Language and Region.
- Now go to Region > Select United States as your new region.
- Restart your device and check if the AI features are live or not.
- If they aren’t, then install a VPN from the App Store and launch it.
