While you cannot disable the “Long press to customize lock screen” option on your iPhone but there does exist a few handy workarounds that should help you effectively address this issue. There are a few UI/UX tweaks in the Apple ecosystem that could prove to be a head-scratcher for many. For example, the need to hardcode the camera shortcut icon in the lock screen when you could easily access it via a left swipe doesn’t is quite questionable.

Enable “Require Attention for Face ID”

First off, you could enable “Require Attention for Face ID”. This way your device wouldn’t be easily unlocked just via a small glance. So give it a try using the below-listed steps and check out the results.

  1. To begin with, head over to Settings > Face ID & Passcode

Disable Face ID for Unlock

You could also opt for a more extreme approach of disabling the Face ID functionality for unlocking your phone [it will still work for other features]. Here’s how it could be done

  1. Head over to Settings > Face ID & Passcode.

Turn off Raise to wake and Tap to wake

If you use Apple Watch, then consider turning off the option to unlock your iPhone via your watch. Here’s how it could be done:
