Since the culprit is the latest May 2023 update, your best course of action is to downgrade the device to the April 2023 update. if you want to preserve the data, then make sure to use the Home CSC file instead of the CSC [if you end up choosing the CSC, then it will factory reset your device]. Once you have performed the downgrade, make sure to delete the updates from Play Store and then delete the data of the Google Wallet and Google Play Services as well That’s it.
