The culprit behind this issue is the latest update rolled out by Google to its app. So to rectify it, you’ll have to downgrade it to its earlier stable build. In this regard, some users have confirmed that the version 15.34.35.28 is working well and good. So you may give that version a try and check out the results. Here’s how it can be done:

  1. To begin with, head over to Settings > Apps > See All Apps.
  2. Select Google from the list and tap on the overflow icon present at the top right.

  4. Now, go to APKMirror and download an older version of the Google app.
  5. Finally, install that APK file, and the underlying issue should be rectified.
