In this guide, we will show you the steps to get your Galaxy S24 Ultra device onto the AXK4 firmware before installing or ADB Sideloading the One UI 7 update. After a long and lengthy delay, the South Korean conglomerate has finally rolled out the fifteenth iteration of the OS build. So you can now welcome abode a slew of intriguing goodies, including but not limited to a plethora of UI tweaks, with changes to Quick Settings, Notifications, and the introduction of the Now bar.
However, at the time of writing, it is in the beta stage, so there are bound to be a few bugs and issues. But that hasn’t stopped tech enthusiasts from giving it a try. In this regard, there are two ways out- either get yourself enrolled as a beta tester via the Samsung Members app or ADB Sideload the update ZIP file [granted, someone has managed to grab the download link of the OTA]. Out of the two, users generally prefer the latter
This is because, in the former, the OEM takes ages to get the job done. However, in the sideload method, there are a few important points worth keeping in mind, one among which is the fact that Galaxy 24 Ultra users should be on the AXK4 firmware before installing or ADB Sideloading the One UI 7 update. So in this guide, we will show you how to verify the same and what steps you need to take if you are not on the said firmware version. Follow along.
Galaxy S24 Ultra: Install AXK4 Before ADB Sideloading One UI 7
You have to be on the AXK4 Bootloader Version before you can sideload the One UI 7 Beta 1 build. To check your device’s current version, dial *#1234#
AP=S928BXXU4AXK4
CP=S928BXXU4AXK4
CSC=S928BOXM4AXK4
If your device has the same AP, CP, and CSC [the last four should be AXK4], then you can do the sideload. Otherwise, you cannot. So this then asks the all-important question: what about the users who are on AXK5 firmware? Well, those users should first flash the AXK4 firmware via Odin, and only then can they flash the Android 15 OS. In this regard, you can refer to our detailed guide on How to Flash Stock Firmware via Odin. In short, here’s what you need to do [take a backup beforehand]:
- Download and extract Odin from the above-linked guide.
- Then download S928B_EUX_S928BXXU4AXK4.
- Now reboot your phone to the Download Mode.
- Then launch ODIN and upload the files to their respective partitions (BL, AP, CP & Home_CSC).
- Finally, hit Start and wait for the flashing to complete.
- Once done, your device will boot to the OS and you may then flash the One UI 7 build.
