In this guide, we will show you the steps to fix the issue of the YouTube Music shuffle feature not shuffling all the songs/the entire playlist. When Google decided to ditch its ever-popular Play Music for YouTube Music, there were quite a few skeptics that straightaway felt that it was definitely a wrong move. And fast forward to today, YTM does every bit to justify this unfortunate claim.
Every now and then, we hear of an issue or two that seems to be bugging this service. And now there has been another entry to this list. There have been numerous user complaints that the shuffle feature isn’t working along the expected lines. Rather than shuffling all the songs, it just picks up a few from the top of the playlist or the ones that you have listed to the most.
As a result, YouTube Music only keeps on playing those songs all the time. Moreover, the issue seems to be persistent across all the platforms- be it its Android or iOS app or its website. So is there any fix for it? Well, there is a workaround that could help you fix the issue of the YouTube Music shuffle feature not shuffling all the songs/the entire playlist. Let’s check it out.
Fix YouTube Music Shuffle not shuffling all songs/entire playlist
Going through the issues, the majority of complaints seems to be from those users who have a plethora of songs in their playlist. Users with 400+ songs seem to have been affected the most by this issue. Well, truth be told, this comprises a major chunk of the userbase and a fix shouldn’t have been released at the earliest.

The fact that YouTube seems to be aware of this issue for the past few months and has yet to act on the same is quite astonishing, to say the least. However, some users seem to have found a fix that has spelled out success for them. You should consider using the shuffle button that is present on the playlist page instead of the shuffle button present on the player.
This is because the button present on the player would only shuffle the songs that are in the queue. This also explains the reason why you are only able to listen to a few songs, out of the plenitude of ones present in your playlist.
So do try out this tweak and do let us know if it is able to fix the YouTube Music shuffle feature not shuffling all the songs/the entire playlist issue. Moreover, if you have any other tweak that seems to have worked out in your favor, do let us know via the comments section.
