It is recommended that you try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and then see which one spells out success. So with that in mind, let’s get started.

FIX 1: Turn off HDR

One obvious way of rectifying this issue is to head over to Settings > Display > HDR > Turn off the toggle next to Use HDR. While this will fix this issue, however, it might reappear the next time the PC reboots as the HDR seems to re-enable itself.

FIX 2: Shortcut Keys

You may also turn off HDR by using the “Win + Alt + B” shortcut keys twice when the PC reboots will toggle HDR on and off. While this will also suffer the same drawback as the above one, but it is at least way too much easier to implement after each reboot when compared to its counterpart.

FIX 3: Using Registry

Before starting with the below fix, make sure to take a backup of your registry.

  1. Launch RUN via Windows+R, type in regedit, and hit Enter.
  2. Then head over to the following location:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\VideoSettings
  3. Now search for the entries having DolbyVision or HDR and set their values to zero. Fix Windows 11 Update Dolby Vision with green purple tint on OLED display

  2. Then, click on Uninstall Updates, which is present under the Related Settings.
