How to Fix Podcast App Issue after iOS 14.5+ Update

- As far as the battery issues are concerned, Apple suggests running the Low Power Mode with the Podcasts app.
Apart from that, most of the underlying issues of the Podcast App not working on iOS 14.5/14.6 could easily be dealt with the below steps:
- To begin with, head over to your device’s Settings page.
- Within that, turn off the Podcast Sync toggle.
- Likewise, make sure you exit the Podcast app completely, it shouldn’t be running in the background.
- Next up, you will have to delete your shows from the Podcast. This might be a cause of concern for many users who have many shows saved, but as of now, this is the only way out.
- So go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Podcasts and delete all your shows.
- Once that is done, restart your device.
- Now launch the Podcast app and verify that all the settings for each show have been correctly set up.
