  1. To begin with, use the Ctrl+Shift+Esc shortcut key combinations to launch Task Manager.
  2. Then scroll to Origin.exe or Steam.exe, whichever you are using.
  3. Right-click on it and select Go to Details.

  4. You shall be taken to the Details section, with the Origin.exe/Steam.exe file selected.
  5. So right-click on that file and select Set Affinity.

  6. Now uncheck <All Processors> and select CPU 0 and the last one, which in my case is CPU 7.

  7. Once both these CPU cores have been selected, click OK.
