In this guide, we will show you the steps to fix the 5G, Bluetooth, 90Hz display, Brightness Slider, Headphone Jack, and DT2W features not working in a GSI ROM on Android. One of the biggest perks of having an open-source ecosystem like Android is the plentitude of goodies that it brings in with itself. In this regard, its no denying the fact that the ability to flash a customized firmware is usually the tech geek’s favorite choice.
Giving you an option to break the shackles of the stock ecosystem, having tons of additional feature sets and OS upgrades beyond the official cycle, it’s no hidden secret why users generally opt for custom ROMs. However, there are still quite a few devices that don’t have active custom ROM development support. For those devices, a Generic System Image usually comes in handy.
Beholding most of the features that a custom ROM possesses, it could easily be flashed via Fastboot Commands itself. Moreover, when we talk about GSI, then the developer Phhusson definitely deserves a mention as he is the first one to roll out the AOSP GSI. Various developers then use that AOSP as their base to release their own customized GSI’s in the form of LineageOS, ArrowOS, Pixel Experience, and the likes.
However, inspite of all the goodies attached, these Generic System Images do have their fair share of bugs as well. Some of the most common and frequently faced issues include the likes of 5G, Bluetooth, 90Hz display, and DT2W not working in a GSI ROM. So if you are also getting bugged with any of these issues, then this tutorial shall help you rectify them once and for all. Follow along for the instructions.
