In this guide, we will show you the steps to downgrade your OnePlus 13 from Android 16/OxygenOS 16 to Android 15/OxygenOS 15. It is quite commendable to see that OnePlus has dethroned the likes of Samsung [which is currently not even able to roll out the stable Android 15!] and has become the first non-Pixel OEM to roll out the sixteenth iteration of the OS.
As a result of this, you are about to welcome a slew of intriguing goodies and some noteworthy features to the fore. However, this is just one side of the coin. Since this update is in its testing phase [Beta 2/ Developer Preview], you are bound to face quite a few bugs and issues. For instance, in the first release of Android 16, the following are just some of the concerning issues that are bugging the firmware:
- Unable to close the version update pop-up after upgrading to the DPP version.
- Font weight settings cannot be adjusted.
- The device may restart when answering a call using Bluetooth headsets.
- Lag and display errors in the camera viewfinder and thumbnail in certain scenarios.
- Blurry or unclear camera viewfinder in some cases.
- The camera crashes when switching to Macro mode with the rear camera.
- Crashes and lag after enabling Ultra Steady mode.
- Display error in the camera viewfinder during video recording in specific scenarios.
- The screen may freeze when tapping the accessibility shortcut button on the home screen.
- Lag is observed when locking the screen.
With that said, some tech enthusiasts have still given it a try but are now questioning their decision about the same. If you are in the same boat, then fret not. Fortunately, the OEM has provided the downgrade package that will help you to roll back your OnePlus 13 from Android 16/OxygenOS 16 to Android 15/OxygenOS 15. So, without any further ado, let’s show you how this could be carried out.
