How to Disable System Notifications on Android

  1. To begin with, head over to the Settings page on your device.
  2. Within that, scroll to the Apps and Notifications section.
  3. Then tap on See all xxx apps (where xxx is the number of apps installed).

  4. You will be taken to the App Info page, which by default will only display the user-installed apps.
  5. To make it display the system-level apps as well, tap on the overflow icon situated at the top right and select Show system.
  6. This will bring up the system apps as well. Scroll to the System UI app and tap on it.

  8. Finally, disable the toggle next to the system notifications that you don’t wish to receive. That’s it.

    This is basically just saying to turn if the notification like any other app. Which makes it clickbait. We’re trying to figure out how to remove notifications that are greyed out or blocked from the user’s control

  • I’ve tried this method with my Huawei P30 pro but it blocks me from disabling notifications from certain aspects, such as “do not distrub”. Is this a problem unique to Huawei phones?
