It is recommended that you try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and then see which one spells out success. So with that in mind, let’s get started.

FIX 1: Skip the Day One Patch

First off, make sure to save your game in the PS Cloud. Then uninstall the game and reinstall it but without installing the day one patch. This will give you a quick second to pause the game in the death cutscene and you could then quickly load one of the previous autosave files.

FIX 2: Using the Controller X button tweak

  1. First off, make sure that there are no Bluetooth headsets connected to your PS5.
  2. Then load Dead Space Remake and wait for the Epilepsy Warning screen.
  3. Now disconnect the controller. When a flatline sound appears, wait for 3-4 seconds.
  4. Then turn on the controller and immediately hit X.
  5. Make sure to do this just before you see the “controller is disconnected message.”
  6. If done correctly, you’ll see the menu appear where you can take your time and scroll down to load your last hard save.
  7. However, make sure that you don’t hit the main menu button as this will take you back into the death loop.

That’s it.
