In order to rectify this issue, you just need to toggle the auto-renewal option of this plan [yes, it does sound weird, but trust us, it will rectify this issue]. Here’s how it can be done:

  1. Head over to your account and turn off [or on, if it is currently off] auto-renewal.
  2. Also, sign out all the members of your family.
  3. Then re-enable [or disable, if it is currently enabled] auto-renewal and wait for a few minutes.
  4. Now, sign back in all your family members.

That’s it. This should fix the issue of being unable to share 1TB in the Microsoft 365 Family subscription. As far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are aware of this issue, but they haven’t given out any ETA for the rollout of a fix. As and when that happens, we will update this guide accordingly. In the meantime, the aforementioned workarounds are your best bet.
