Fix Google Pixel Buds A-Series cannot pair with multiple devices
It is recommended that you try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and then see which one spells out success. So with that in mind, let’s get started.
FIX 1: Update to Firmware Version 3.527.0
The culprit behind this issue is the firmware version 3.519.0. Google has already addressed this issue and has released a patch accompanying version 3.527.0. So make sure to download and install this update right away as it comes with the fix for the underlying pairing issue [do note that the buds will update first, followed by the case].
FIX 2: Using a Waorkaround
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for both devices. Also, press “Forget” on both devices if the earbuds are saved
- Then put the buds in the case with the case open. Factory reset the buds by holding the button for around 20 seconds.
- It will start blinking white and orange. Wait till it starts blinking only white.
- Once that happens, your device will get a connection popup. Don’t press Connect and don’t close the popup!
- Rather, pair it with your second device and then quickly tap Connect on your phone.
- Now tap on “Setup” and it will be paired across both devices.
That’s it. These were the two different methods that should help you fix the issue of Google Pixel Buds A-Series being unable to pair with multiple devices. As far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are aware of this issue, but they haven’t given out any ETA for the rollout of a fix. As and when that happens, we will update this guide accordingly. In the meantime, the aforementioned workarounds are your best bet. [UPDATE: Fix Released].
